I picked her up from school today... and immediately I got the whole story on penguins. I mean THE WHOLE STORY! We were shopping and I don't think she took a breath from the time she got in the car until we got home. Everyone that passed us just smiled and laughed because they knew I was in for it...

Facts about Penguins - By Khaia P.

• Every Tuesday (today) penguins go tobogganing... They don't slide they toboggan.
• Every Saturday they swim.
• The daddy penguin has an egg in is pocket (ekkkkkkkkk, i got scared when she said that) which make him walk funny. (She proceeded to point in between her legs)
• The Daddy sits on the egg for 3 months -which is like a 100 days or something like that.
• When it's time for the baby to come out, the mommy pecks it, like a woodpecker. (She then started pecking a set of bed sheets)
  
• There is a penguin called a Macaroni Penguin.
• There are also some penguins called Antarctica Penguins.
  
• They also have Chin Strap Penguins, they are black. (She pointed at something black to confirm I knew my colors)
• Penguins live above the line in the middle of the earth. That line is called the equator.
• When you have allot of penguins it is called a COLONY of penguins. NOT a herd, a herd is only for deers.
• I also learned how they walk...

So there you have it. I can't say she didn't pay attention to the teacher today... now can I. =)
